HISTORY: AEROLINEAS GALAPAGOS S.A. (AEROGAL), but also known as AVIANCA ECUADOR is an airline based in Quito, Ecuador. Founded in 1986. In October 2009, AeroGal announced its merger with the Colombian airline Avianca, and the Salvadoran airline TACA. In december, began the route Guayaquil - New York JFK. AeroGal merged with VIP Ecduador in 2012. The April 17, 2012, was the last flight to New York.
