HISTORY: LITHUANIAN AIRLINES (LAL) was established as government-owned Lietuvos Avialinijos on September 1991, shortly after Lithuania's independence from the Soviet Union. Was the national airline of Lithuania, based in Vilnius. Due to financial difficulties, fly LAL suspended operations on 17 January 2009.
