HISTORY: AIRLINES REPORTING CORPORATION (ARC) established in 1984. ARC was founded as a privately held company in response to the Airline Deregulation Act. Becoming fully operational in 1985, ARC began settling financial ticket transactions between airlines and travel agencies (both traditionally and eventually online) and the travel management companies that sell their products to the United States. Growing every year, ARC has come to process close to $90 billion in financial transactions through its secure settlement system, in 2014 alone, for airlines, travel agencies, corporate travel departments, railroads and other travel suppliers. |
