HISTORY: GREENLANDAIR INC. was established on 7 November 1960 as Gronlandsfly A/S by the Scandinavian Airlines System and Kryolitselskabet Oresund, a Danish mining company involved with the cryolite operations at Lvittuut to provide transport and logistics for four American radar bases in Greenland. The company rebranded itself, anglicising its name to Air Greenland and adopting a new logo and livery on 18 April 2002.
